When many people hear the word church, they picture a building, a stage, or a formal service. While those things can be helpful, the Bible reminds us that the church is first and foremost a people, not a place.
Our church gathers in a home, following the simple and relational pattern we see in the New Testament (Acts 2:42–47). We believe church should be personal, participatory, and centered on Jesus.
Here’s what you can expect when we gather:
🎵 Worship
We begin with 2–3 worship songs, sung together in a relaxed and meaningful way. Our goal isn’t performance—it’s to focus our hearts on God, give thanks, and prepare ourselves to hear His Word.
📖 Interactive Bible Study
Instead of a long monologue or or someone preaching a sermon, we share in an interactive Bible study ... the Bible itself is our sermon! We read Scripture together, ask questions, make observations, and talk about how God’s Word applies to everyday life. Everyone is invited to participate at their comfort level. We believe the Holy Spirit speaks through the Word and through the body of Christ as we learn together.
🙏 Prayer
Prayer is an essential part of our gathering. We take time to pray for one another, for our families, our community, and the needs God places on our hearts. Prayer in our house church is personal, compassionate, and rooted in trust that God hears and responds.
🤝 Fellowship & Food
After our time of worship, study, and prayer, we enjoy a snack and fellowship together. This is an unhurried time to talk, laugh, build friendships, and care for one another. Relationships matter deeply to us, and this time is just as important as any other part of our gathering.
